It’s clear from the school’s dedicated website that the sports marketing crew at Texas A&M has gone ‘all in’, so to speak, with its campaign to help redshirt freshman quarterback, Johnny Manziel, win the Heisman Trophy.
#JohnnyFootball — as he’s referred to by Aggie fans, media, and much of the college football world — has broken numerous records, been named AT&T All-America Player of the Week three times, and is averaging more total yards per game (378.3) than 37 FBS football programs by himself.
He’s even saved a kitten in front of Kyle Field, home of the 12th man.
The website that’s being utilized as a sports marketing vehicle for Manziel has multiple highlight videos along with season stats, quotes, and even a sleek infographic detailing #JohnnyFootball’s accomplishments in College Station.
Will the sports marketing campaign put him atop the voters’ ballots come December 8th? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
