Following Lakers Christmas Day Win, Kobe Bryant Takes Over @NikeBasketball Twitter Account

Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant might not have his own twitter account, but for the time being, he’ll at least be tweeting from another one.

Following Bryant’s 34-point performance yesterday in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 100-94 win over the New York Knicks, Bryant and @NikeBasketball teamed up in a unique, but unfamiliar way (Bryant doesn’t have a twitter handle).

Earlier Christmas Day, the @NikeBasketball twitter account suggested that someone in particular might be taking over the handle (see below), so it wasn’t necessarily a surprise when The Black Mamba started sending out tweets after his team’s victory over the Knicks.

For Bryant though, who has constantly flirted with the idea of having his own account, it’ll be another just be another medium to connect with fans and provide some entertainment around the Holiday season.

After the Lakers’ victory over the Knicks, in which Bryant debuted the Kobe 8 System “Christmas Lights” sneakers, Bryant tweeted just a few times. In addition to tweeting, Bryant also suggested on his Facebook page that he might create his own Instagram account.
