NCAA College Football Coaches By The Numbers (INFOGRAPHIC)

Nick SabanWith college football just starting up for the 2012 season, there are a handful of storylines to watch. How will Penn State fair under first-year coach Bill O’Brien following a summer of sanctions and bowl bans? Can LSU function without Tyrann “Honey Badger” Mathieu after his dismissal from the program on August 10? Will the SEC win its seventh consecutive BCS title?

How about the college football coaches, though? They’re the face of many of these programs, but naturally, some have had a bit more success than others. Who’s the active head coach with the most career wins? How many BCS titles do Urban Meyer and Les Miles have between them?

Below are a few noteworthy stats from the very informative graphic created by InfographicWorld.com. Enjoy.

  • There are 28 new coaches for the 2012 season, including Charlie Weiss at Kansas, John L. Smith with Arkansas, and Jim Mora at UCLA.
  • Chris Ault (Nevada) leads all active head coaches in time spent at their current school — he’s been the headman out West for 26 years.
  • South Carolina’s Steve Spurrier is just three wins away from 200 career wins while Texas’ Mack Brown leads all active coaches in bowl wins with 12.

In between your wit as well as your videos, I had been almost moved to start my own, personal
blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Wonderful job. I actually enjoyed
everything you was required to say, and over that, how you will presented it.
    Too cool!
