It’s hard to understand how some 500 players have suffered concussions in the NFL in just the last few years without it having athlete safety become a more important topic in our society. The recent film Concussion, featuring Will Smith, has brought the issue of sports-related traumatic brain injuries back to center stage in the mainstream media.
