In a go at their first major league sports sponsorship, Tire Pros have signed on to be the official tire retailer of the Los Angeles Galaxy’s 2013 season. The Galaxy are the two-time defending champions in the LA area, while Tire Pros continue to have a strong presence in the LA area market.
Tire Pros are a good fit for Galaxy sponsorship
With 19 retail stores in the Southern California area, Tire Pros are able to engage with Galaxy fans and build great brand awareness for both their own company, as well as the Los Angeles Galaxy. The deal entails a great marketing mix, including stadium signage, game promotions, digital ads, radio broadcasts, and community events.
The sponsorship debuted at the COPA LA Youth Soccer Tournament earlier this year, and continues to help out the community. Dan Brown – president of Tire Pros – had this to say:
“We’ve had strong presence in the Los Angeles market for over 20 years, so it seemed like a natural fit to develop a relationship with a sports team that is such an important part of the local community.”
Tire Pros is also planning to run an exclusive offer which includes an oil change, tire rotation, alignment check, and safety inspection. By naming the package the “Out of this Galaxy tire special”, the promotion works to benefit both companies. Quick Chadwick, Tire Pros’ director of marketing, had some optimistic thoughts on the subject:
“This relationship is all about interaction and experience, and giving our dealers an opportunity to cultivate new relationships while building upon existing relationships with their local communities and customers, particularly ‘soccer moms,’”
The deal between the Galaxy and Tire Pros was struck in part because Continental Tires is the official tire sponsor of the MLS. For more on the partnership, you can read more here.
