networking event

After successful networking events in New York and London, we’re headed to the City of Angels – Los Angeles! However, this event will be run a little differently than the ones in the past. As space is limited, it will be an intimate event capped at 50 sports executives in the L.A. area.  Also, part of this event will be filmed during a live online web reality show.

If you want to be part of this limited-space event, fill out your information below and I’ll email you with more details about the time and venue for this event. It will either be in the evening of Nov 10 or 11 and I’ll email you soon if you qualify. Hope to see you there!

I was recently invited to speak at Tribe Social Forum hosted by Major League Baseball’s Cleveland Indians on September 16th, 2010. It is an event focused on the increasing trend of social media usage in our society and networking with some of the finest folks in sports today.

Back when we did the Sports Business Survey, participants voiced that they wanted more networking opportunities and I believe this is a great chance to network with experts in the business. Attendees will learn how social media is changing the way we communicate, especially in the sports world.

I am humbled and excited to be part of a panel that includes some of the biggest movers and shakers in sports and social media, including:

  • Mark Shapiro, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Cleveland Indians
  • Anthony Castrovince, MLB.com Beat Writer
  • Dominic Litten, Social Media Club Founder, Cleveland and Leader of Interactive Marketing at Point to Point, Inc.
  • Lisa Zone, President of the American Advertising Federation, Cleveland and SVP at Dix & Eaton.

Networking at the Ballpark

Werner Kunz(This is a guest article by Chris Rufle)

Putting on a networking event at your venue can be beneficial for you in a few different ways.  It can give you the opportunity to sell a weak night, draw in new quality leads, and help other business executives further their businesses all at the same time.  As long as you follow a few steps to make sure you plan your event properly it can be a success.

First, pick a night. Since people are primarily coming for the networking event instead of the game, you have the opportunity to pick the date you prefer.  This gives you the ability to take one of your weaker nights and sell it while hosting a successful group outing with great potential for future leads.
