Job Description
The GRAPHIC ARTIST & VIDEO EDITOR INTERN will contribute to the daily graphic production on SportsNetworker.com. The responsibilities of your role will include banner graphic, poster graphics, basic video editing and exporting, basic page layout and graphic design. Your role will be a critical part of our success and you’ll be clearly instructed on best practices and allowed to utilize your own creativity and skills. Training is our primary objective as employers. Above all, you’ll be expected to have fun, and communicate openly with our team to ensure your success.
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
Since this is an Internship, and a Training Program as well, we don’t expect you to meet all of these Qualifications, Skills and Requirements. Otherwise, you’d probably be a candidate for a salaried position with our company. However, the more of these qualifications you do have, the more likely your are to step right in and excel. BUT, fear not. We provide extensive and timely training for each task you will carry out. That’s the point after all. This is a training program as much as it is an internship. Sports Networker is looking for a passionate GRAPHIC ARTIST & VIDEO EDITOR INTERN with demonstrated experience in editing and optimizing video for the web. We need someone with demonstrated experience working with Final Cut Pro (or iMovie), Photoshop and file sharing services like Sugarsync and/or Dropbox.
Qualifications & Skills
- Command of English Language: Speak, Read and Write English Very Well
- Excellent General Computer Skills (Browsing, Social Networking, Searching, Typing Skills, etc.)
- Knowledge of digital production tools, conversion tools, multiple video formats/codecs, and cross-platform optimization
- Aptitude for shot composition, visual design, overlay effects, and sound mixing
- Proficiency in Final Cut Pro, iMovie and Photoshop
- Experience with YouTube uploading and keyword optimization
Requirements:
- You should be a self starter, able to work independently, solve problems and meet deadlines
- Willingness to join an exciting team with ambitions for growth in our company
- Willingness to learn quickly and to be trained on in-demand skills
- Tenacious enthusiasm for video editing, video marketing and supporting team members
- Daily communication with Contributing Team Members using Project Management site
- Access to your own Computer, High Speed Internet and required video editing software

- Create banner graphics for website
- Create Infographics
- Edit Existing & New Video Interviews
- Upload Video Interviews To YouTube
- Transcribe Video Interviews

- Optimize Existing & New Video Interview on YouTube
Additional Information
THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIPthat requires a passion for the sports industry, tireless hustle, attention to details and the ability to meet all deadlines. We require a minimum commitment of 20-25 hours per week. The duration of the internship is for 3 months (unpaid). Potential for an additional 3 month (paid) job extension that will be discussed with short-listed candidates. If you are a student looking for relevant internship experience as a part of your college degree, we will work with you and your college program to ensure that you receive proper credit.
