Top Sports Executives Meet To Discuss Second Screen Trends

sports second screenSports fans are a demanding bunch.  They want stadium Wi-Fi, more pixels, and on-the-go content.  Not only that, but fans are demanding content on multiple screens at one time.  While watching the game on TV, people are turning to their tablets, phones, and computer screens to track fantasy stats, watch replays, and converse on social media.  Technology is making the “second screen” ever more appealing.  It’s no wonder top sports industry executives are getting together to discuss the trend.

Top sports industry execs meet to discuss second screen trends

On September 12, The South Florida Interactive Marketing Association will present “Sports Rules All Screens,” an expert panel discussion on the explosive growth in sports entertainment streaming across multiple screens.

The discussions will revolve around the strategies that top companies are using to retain fans that are implementing two screens or more to view sports and entertainment programs.

The panel will feature executives from the Miami Dolphins, FOX Sports Media Group and Back9Network, a multimedia lifestyle network for golf lovers.  Jonathan Schwartz, CEO and co-founder of Bullseye Strategy, will moderate the panel.

The event takes place Thursday, September 12 at Horvitz Auditorium at the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale. Networking begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by the panel discussion at 7:30 p.m. The event is free for SFIMA members. Non-members pay $39 in advance, $49 at the door.
