Everyone loves a top 10 list so I decided to take a poll and generate a list with the top sites to help you in your quest of being the best sports executive possible.
There are many great sports industry websites out there in a variety of niches. Some are fan related, team related, blogs, videos, job boards, career resources, social networking, and beyond. Although there are too many great sites that are not included, feel free to add the sites that were most helpful to your quest over this past year. Here is what I found most useful in 2008:

I did not rank these from 1-10, and that may make some of you a little upset, but I decided to just give you my top 10 overall. Maybe next year I’ll put out a larger poll, get previous winners to vote like it’s the Heisman, and have a real #1. For now, however, feel free to include any additional sites that you think should have made the list, or at least be included as an honorable mention.
Thanks for including me in your top 10! I'm honored, and I look forward to reading your blog in 2009!
Great list – thanks for including SponsorPitch. You should do a bracket next year. We'd be happy to host the play-in game!
I love the Street & Smith Busiiness Journal. Ive been a subscriber for about a year now. I read the Sports Business Daily as well. A great and insightful trade journal. Blogmaverick is fantastic as well. Mr. Cuban tells the truth as he sees it and I appreciate that.
Mr. Sports Networker,
Thank you for including SportsAgentBlog.com. Best of luck to you in the coming year. Bring us to the promise land.
The often overlooked category in sports is youth sports. You aught to look at http://www.clubhousegas.com. It's a great site for all of us youth sports fanatics. Well done, full of info.
A useful list that touches on the business end of sports more thoroughly than most. We're setting up our list of lists for 2008 and will reference your fine work.
Thanks Rexlocker. Glad this list was helpful for you!
Thanks for including my site. Hope you have a great 2009!
Is the Sports Marketing 2.0 Summit in NYC for 2009? Your link isn't an actual link, and thier site makes no mention of it – just SF & Chi for 2008.
Thanks in advance!
I think Brian Berger and Sports Business Radio is by far the best sports business blog and podcast on the Net today. But of course you didntt list it because its a competitor but they at least deserve a mention if you are talking sports business. jbv
JB,
Thanks for your input with Brian Berger's show. I don't consider him a competitor by any means because I am simply trying to be a resource for people to help them better their sports business careers. In my additional comments section I asked for readers to include the sites they thought were also a great resource, so I am glad you mentioned his.
Hi there, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam comments? If so how do you reduce it, any plugin or anything you can suggest? I get so much lately it’s driving me insane so any help is very much appreciated.
