The Final Four certainly did give the Atlanta economy a boost last weekend and the weeks prior. A lot of vendors were packed to the brim that had previously never experienced that kind of traffic flow; some even extended their hours to keep the revenue coming in. ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/playbook/dollars/post/_/id/3305/money-talks-final-four-no-super-bowl) posted an article stating that there was an increase of Square processed sales from local vendors during the weekend of the Final Four as compared to the weekend before. Although it wasn’t as big of a difference as New Orleans experienced with the Super Bowl it was still an increase.
