A. Rates of returns are a little difficult, but would be based
upon sale of 7 to 8k season tickets and attendance
of 12k fans per game. Concession and TV. revenue
would, of course, be significant. YOUR, access to
WNBA financials, as a guide line, is better than ours.

B. The list of start ups, that still exist, during the depression
and the early stock market crash, is significant and very
encouraging. YOU know that we must FIGHT our way
through these troubled times, as did all of our predecessors.

D. Through out the history of professional sports, it has been
those of us that are over 40 yrs old that were its main support.
For the first time in history, it is now our turn to play.
We want seniors in bed, in the hospitals, to shot hoops with
their weak and healing hands, at the basket on their door. We
want grand parents to be out in the driveway practicing their
ball handling skills, with their grandchildren. At the games, we
want ALL people over 40 and under 200 yrs of age, to see what
they TOO can do, with a little practice. Especially after
executing a sweet pass, between Dr. J’s or Kareem’s legs.
“as visiting players”, to get the, three point assist. So let’s
make history. It’ll be, BIG FUN. Finally, pro-basketballs
upgrade = 3.7 The Heat??? Celtics will crush them.

One more addition to the list for me would be to seek out opportunities in smaller clubs/teams that are local to your area. Chances are they need the help and like you said, you may be able to get into a volunteer or PT role and work your way up.

I see many people go for a MLS job straight away if they are interested in soccer, when a NPSL or PDL team that is in their town is looking just as hard for great talent, and could be a very successful jumping board for them in the future.

Megan: Congrats on the new sports job in NY. Which team are you going to be working with? Also, were there a lot of people from the job fair who were as successful as you, or were you contacting some of these potential employers before hand and just meeting up with them at the job fair?
