Hey Ryan! I enjoyed your post so much that I posted my own responses (http://thesportsspectator.com/my-idealized-sports-and-social-media-trends-for-2010/)

I think, on an agency side, your points about best practices and measurement will be the most important.

Hey Ryan,

You did a fantastic job deciphering the overriding themes in the 2010 Sports and Social Media predictions!

I'm in agreement with just about everything you covered, but one thing I think is missing is the proliferation of contests and promotions executed on and marketed via social media platforms.

Whether these contests involve corporate brands/sponsors, leagues, teams or individual athletes, I think they will saturate blogs and platforms such as Twitter over the next 6-12 months as best practices and proof of concept are established.

I think interactivity will be led by mobile platforms and this will be single biggest change-agent in 2010. High penetration, low barriers, everyone knows how to use it, ownership clear, so billable/ monetizable and most of all can handle all most social networks, on the go.
I'm not so convinced about online videos.
Cheers
